Rules

  • We are happy to offer “Worry Free Registration” that allows all of our registrants to have the option to defer their race to the following year if they are unable to race in the current year.

  • Our “No Transfer” policy will still be in effect, meaning that you may not transfer your registration to another runner.

  • The minimum age for participation in the Augusta Half Marathon is 10 and for the 10K & 5K is 8.

  • Anyone under the age of 18 must have parental consent to race

  • The Augusta Half Marathon has a 3 hour and 30 minute time limit

  • The Augusta 10K has a 2 hour time limit

  • ​The Augusta 5K has a 1 hour time limit​

* Our staff will follow the last runner enforcing the pace of 16 minutes per mile pace and will assist runners as possible in keeping this pace.  However, any runner who has not reached mile 7, which is the Taylor Street entrance to Augusta University, by 9:30 a.m. will be required to stop the race and will be shuttled back to the start/finish line.  Runners who wish to continue will be required to relinquish their race number,  move to the sidewalk and continue at their own risk while following all pedestrian rules and regulations as streets will be open to regular vehicle traffic

  • For your safety and that of others, we do not allow the following items on the Augusta Half Marathon, 10K & 5K course:

    • Pets​

    • Any wheeled conveyance including; inline skates, skateboards, bicycles, skateboards, any type of hand cycle with gears or scooters 

  • The use of headphones and personal music devices is strongly discouraged at the Augusta Half Marathon, 10K & 5K. 

    • If wearing personal music device results in you being unable to hear verbal instruction, approaching vehicles or course marshals on foot or bicycles, you may be asked to relinquish the device​

Safety

Medical Information

Medical support will be provided by Augusta University Emergency Medicine and stationed at the finish line area. Gold Cross Ambulance will also provide support throughout the course. If you need medical assistance, either dial 911 on a mobile phone or inform the closest volunteer to obtain medical assistance for you.

Police Officers

Officers will be located at intersections where traffic intersects the course, in addition to patrolling the course.
